The Lost Jazz Tapes EP comprises jazz tracks recorded by the original Hermetic Science lineup in March 1996, when they often played jazz clubs featuring setlists alternating "real" jazz tunes with their original compositions. Originally recorded to secure gigs, these tracks were forgotten during the recording of their debut album in 1996-97 and were only rediscovered in late 2025.
